REACH/Deca-BDE Statement: Aerospace

DecaBDE Phase-out Initiative

On December 17, 2009, all North American suppliers of brominated flame retardants announced commitments to phase out decabromodiphenyl ether (decaBDE ) in the United States to comply with the Enviromental Protection Asgencies (EPA) mandate. 
 
The utilization of all products containing Deca-BDE is expected to end by December 31, 2013. Judd Wire already complies with the EPA directive and does not use Deca-BDE in any of our Aerospace compounds.

DecaBDE is a flame retardant which has been used in many applications including electronics, wire and cable insulation, automobiles and airplanes, and other applications. Judd Wire does not use Deca-DBE in the manufacturing of any Aerospace products.

CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE - Deca-DBE for Aerospace Products 

Judd Wire Inc. hereby certifies that our Aerospace products do not contain any REACH substances of very high concern (SVHC) above 0.1% concentration (by weight per article) and do not use Deca-BDE.
